First Wednesday Readers Series presents Isaiah Hunt and Hilary Plum (Jun 5 Westside Bowl)

Updated: May 17

First Wednesday Reader Series presents poet Isaiah Hunt and prose writer Hilary Plum. Logan Burrows will co-host. Open mic to follow. Wednesday, June 5, at 7:00pm at the Westside Bowl, 2617 Mahoning Ave. This reading will be downstairs in the Trophy Room, accessible only by stairs.

A proud Cleveland native, Isaiah Hunt's work focuses on near-future stories of his community, the entertainment industry, and Black cyberculture. When he’s not fiddling around with music or studying Pan-African history, he’s dreaming of worlds adjacent to our own. You can find his work through the Wick Poetry Center, Luna Negra, and Camel Coat Press.

Hilary Plum (she/her) is a writer, editor, and teacher living in Cleveland Heights. Her recent work includes Excisions, a volume of poetry; Hole Studies, an essay collection; and the novel Strawberry Fields, which won the Fence Modern Prize in Prose. With Zach Savich she edits the Open Prose Series at Rescue Press. She teaches at Cleveland State and in the NEOMFA program, and she serves as associate director of the CSU Poetry Center. www.hilaryplum.com.

This project is being supported, in part, by funds awarded to the Board of Mahoning County Commissioners under Assistance Listing No. 21.027 by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
