Uplifting Voices Series
This ongoing series of online readings lifts the voices of writers in marginalized communities. Readings featured in this series have celebrated the work of Palestinian, Jewish and Black Women writers. During these readings, writers share their work and engage in thoughtful conversation with one another about writing, community, works in translation and much more. This series is streamed live and archived on the Lit Youngstown YouTube channel.
New Book News
New Book News offered a platform to poetry and fiction writers in celebration of new books published during the pandemic lock-down. Celebrated authors including Philip Metres, Nin Andrews, Kelli Russell Agodon, Jeff Friedman, Jan Beatty, Teri Ellen Davis-Cross, Denise Duhamel, Bruce Bond and many others, read from their work and engaged one another in conversation about the art of writing and arranging a book-length manuscript. This series is archived on the Lit Youngstown YouTube channel.
